Jon's essay on growing up with T.S. Eliot's "Prufrock" was published in the Essay section of the Globe & Mail on July 25, 2013. You can access that essay by googling "Jon Peirce Prufrock."
After an eleven-year absence, Jon is back on the newspaper op-ed pages. His article on "Captain Zero," the Edmonton high school teacher fired for giving zeros to students who didn't do their work, appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press on Sept. 15, 2012. Two days later, his commentary on grunting and groaning in professional tennis made it into The Globe & Mail.
For the 2012-2013 winter term, Jon will be teaching a course in "Getting Started with Writing" for the Seniors' College of Nova Scotia.
In early January, Jon was interviewed by Kevin Dawson for Global Talk Radio. The interview, which runs about ten minutes, emphasizes Jon's approach to editing and to memoir-writing. Click to hear.
